| Role: Java Developer with (Scala & Spark) Location: Broadway, NY (Onsite) Duration: 12+ Months Job Description: We are seeking a talented Java Developer proficient in Scala and Spark to join our dynamic team. As a Java Developer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing high-performance, scalable applications and services. Your expertise in Java, along with knowledge of Scala and Spark, will enable you to contribute to our cutting-edge projects in data processing and analytics. Responsibilities: Design and develop high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems, delivering high-availability and performance. Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle. Write well-designed, efficient code in Java and Scala. Ensure designs are in compliance with specifications. Prepare and produce releases of software components. Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these for architectural review. Collaborate closely with team members and stakeholders. Requirements: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Proven hands-on Software Development experience. Proficiency in Java and Scala. Experience with Apache Spark and Spark Streaming. Knowledge of object-oriented analysis and design using common design patterns. Excellent understanding of JVM, its limitations, weaknesses, and workarounds. Experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication skills. Bonus: Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
