Job Functions/Duties and Responsibilities: Programming using SQL and PL/SQL and related technologies Query turning and optimization Provide solutions to the data engineering challenges Work as part of a banking Agile Squad Work in the Agile development methodologies, collaborating with business and technology teams located globally Candidate must have good communication skills and have the ability to lead IT deliverables Actively contribute and participate in sprint grooming and planning discussions, daily stand-ups, and Agile ceremonies Skills Required: 5+ years of experience working with highly available and large volume databases Deep understanding of database concepts and related technologies Strong experience in database SQL and PL/SQL programming with DB2 & SQL Server databases Hands-on experience with performance tuning, optimizing database queries, etc Hands-on experience with high performance data processing Hands-on experience with tools for Version Control, Job Scheduling, etc. Experience in collaborating with partners and stakeholders across geography and time zones Good communication skills and should be able to work across both Business Users and IT teams across geographical regions and time zones as well as the ability to lead IT deliverables Practical working experience in Agile development methodologies Skills Desired: Understanding of requirements of large enterprise applications (security, entitlements, etc.) Understanding of modern databases ( NoSQL, Cloud based etc.) Exposure to Snowflake Education: Minimum BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
