The UI/UX Designer II has a strong understanding of interaction design principles and current global UI/design patterns and standards and uses this perspective to deliver the business strategy in the digital arena. PROJECT INFORMATION: Please provide a summary of the project the contractor will be working on. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides user experience design leadership over one or more large strategic initiatives. Collaborates and communicates across teams for measurable business outcomes. Using a good understanding of the brand strength, represents seamlessly through the product interface across web and mobile channels. Oversees prototyping, visual designs, user research and usability testing and integration of designs with application development. Leads a team of junior UI/UX designers, providing training and support as and where necessary. Researches and identifies new functionality, rich content opportunities, and user behavior enhancements to improve overall user experience. Conducts user testing surveys for new product features. Ensures complex information is delivered and displayed in the most compelling way. Creates rapid working prototypes to validate design concepts with stakeholders and customers. Research industry trends and competitor experiences to predict use cases and user interaction, including happy path and exceptions. Presents designs and sells creative solutions to various stakeholders. Stays up to date with the latest UI trends, techniques, and technologies. Understands and incorporates search engine optimization best practices in design. Participates in educational opportunities, reading professional publications and participating in professional organizations. Prioritizes and manages assignments, tasks, and projects to completion with minimal supervision. Performs other job-related duties as assigned or apparent. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of 4 years of UX/UI or interaction design experience; experience with responsive Web and Mobile design and frameworks that incorporate strong grid principles, such as Bootstrap, material design. Experience working in Agile environments. Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript for rapid prototyping. Knowledge in Angular, React.JS, SASS/SCSS/Less. Experience creating interactive prototypes using one or more prototyping tools (Sketch, Figma, In Vision, Axure).
