Job Title: Kubernetes Administrator Location: Tampa, FL (Onsite) Type: Long Term Contract Job Description: Experience (Kubernetes, AKS, CaaS, CLaaS) Linux administration experience Demonstrated experience designing pipelines and deploying environments using CI/CD associated tools (GitHub, Azure DevOps, Jenkins) / Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform),and configuration management (Puppet, Ansible) Experienced with using, securing and testing Restful APIs, authentication, session management and working with yaml/json/xml/csv data structures Infrastructure and Application Telemetry (monitoring/alerting), including log aggregation and analysis Experience deploying and using service mesh technologies (Istio, Consul), web server configuration, ingress rules, SSL termination Understanding of microservices architecture using APIs1 Systematic problem-solving approach Strong written and verbal communication skills for ticket management and process and product documentation Ability to work independently, as a member of a distributed team, and with cross-functional groups Five-plus years experience, certifications Ensure platform resources are performing optimally and are configured to scale appropriately. Ensure telemetry configurations report mission-critical data and that alerts are actionable, automated when possible, and actioned per priority guidelines. Seek opportunities to automate and optimize routine tasks, ticket workflows, changes and deployments. Ensure CI/CD pipelines are optimized, implemented and functional. Ensure BC/DR process is optimized, implemented and functional. Ensure security, compliance and RBAC best practices are implemented and followed and that vulnerabilities are mitigated, remediated or properly escalated. Collaborate within DevSecOps, Development and cross-functional teams to continually improve services and to shift-left when appropriate. Ensure evolving change / release process is followed and risk is properly assessed. Respond to escalations from Application Support and Development teams and abide bySLOs. Ensure required documentation for all the above is complete and up-to-date. Continually improve all processes and tasks above. Participate in rotating on-call support. Experience with distributed computing and processing Experience with monitoring tools (Datadog preferred, Dynatrace, NewRelic) Experience automating routine tasks Experience with authentication, identity management, role-based access control (rbac) Experience SQL/NoSQL data technologies (Postgres, Mongo, Snaplogic) Experience with message event management architectures (Kafka, RabbitMQ) Experience with Big Data analytics platforms Prior experience in software development/coding and the SDLC Broad experience with software development or system administration using scripting language (ie.
