| Data Scientist with Machine Learning & Knowledge of LLMs Location: Irvine, CA/Hybrid Type: Long term Contract Job Description: Responsibilities: Develop and deploy machine learning models and algorithms to solve business problems, leveraging LLMs where applicable. Utilize AWS services to build, train, and deploy ML models efficiently. Analyze large datasets to derive actionable insights and inform strategic decisions. Collaborate with data engineers to build and maintain data pipelines using AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, and other AWS services. Use AWS SageMaker for model training, tuning, and deployment. Conduct exploratory data analysis and feature engineering to support model development. Implement data visualization solutions using AWS QuickSight to present findings to stakeholders. Monitor and optimize model performance and data workflows using AWS CloudWatch. Perform data querying and analysis using AWS Athena and manage data storage in AWS S3. Utilize AWS Cloud9 for collaborative development and debugging. Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and deliver impactful data-driven solutions. Requirements: Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, or a related field. Proven experience as a Data Scientist with a focus on machine learning and natural language processing (NLP), including LLMs. Proficiency in AWS services, including AWS QuickSight, AWS Lambda, AWS Glue, AWS CloudWatch, AWS Athena, AWS Redshift, S3, AWS Cloud9, and SageMaker. Strong programming skills in Python, R, or similar languages. Experience with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch. Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and experience with data warehouse solutions. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Preferred Qualifications: AWS Certified Machine Learning Specialty or other relevant AWS certifications. Experience with MLOps practices and tools for CI/CD in machine learning. Familiarity with data governance and security best practices. Experience with other data analytics and visualization tools. Publications or contributions to the machine learning or NLP research community.
