Role: Oracle DBA Location: Chicago, IL (Strictly Locals Only) Duration: Contract Experience: Minimum 10+ years Key Skills: Oracle, PL/SQL, Exadata, RAC, Golden gate Note: Only H1 Visa who can share PP (Dont share GC, GC EAD, H4, OPT/CPT) Role Description: Responsibilities: Install, configure, and manage Oracle databases on Exadata. Develop and maintain PL/SQL scripts for database tasks and automation. Perform regular database maintenance tasks such as backups, patching, and upgrades. Monitor and optimize database performance to ensure maximum availability and reliability. Configure and manage Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) for high availability. Implement and manage Oracle GoldenGate for data replication and integration. Ensure database security by implementing best practices and conducting regular security audits. Troubleshoot and resolve database issues and performance bottlenecks. Create and maintain comprehensive database documentation. Collaborate with development and operations teams to support database needs. Stay updated with the latest database technologies and best practices. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Proven experience as an Oracle DBA with expertise in PL/SQL, Exadata, RAC, and GoldenGate. Strong knowledge of Oracle database architecture and administration. Experience with database performance tuning and optimization. Familiarity with database security and compliance standards. Proficiency in scripting languages such as Shell, Python, or Perl. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Strong communication and teamwork abilities. Oracle certifications (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional) are a plus.
