Position: MRI Technologist Location: Butler PA 16001 Local Only Duration: 6 months Visa: Only USC/GC Interview: Video Job Description: can take local or travel* Must Haves: ARRT cert. in MRI & BLS Graduate of a Radiographic Technology program and completion of an MRI program Clinical experience can come from program or job Day to day: - 10 hour DAY shifts - rotating weekends (every 2nd or 3rd Saturday worked) - on call from 5p-6a one or two days/week - one weekend of call per month Performs magnetic resonance exams to produce images of various anatomical parts and systems for diagnostic purposes as directed by radiologist Collects pertinent data about the patient and the procedure Reconfirms the patient's identification and verifies the physician's order Assures that the proper screening protocol is completed prior to patient entering scan room Provides information to patient about the procedure Verifies the patient has consented to the procedure and answers any questions Provides accurate explanations and instructions at an appropriate time and at a level the patient can understand Analyzes the information obtained during the assessment phase and determines optimal imaging parameters per diagnosis Selects appropriate imaging coil and immobilization devices when needed Determines appropriate type of contrast to be administered Properly positions patient in the MRI unit relative to the type of exam being performed Provides hearing protection to the patient Administers contrast agents according to established guidelines Obtains written consent prior to IV contrast administration Monitors patient during exam for adverse reaction to contrast meda Best Regards Md.
