Skills required:- financial background, commercial lending, asset management EXPERIENCE Role Description:- The primary role of the Senior Business Analyst is to manage and execute all work-streams to gather requirements from users, and build specifications, for the implementation of an EDM platform. Candidate must have Successful candidate will have prior experience in commercial lending and/or asset management industry. However, if no commercial lending, then a financial servicing background will be accepted for the purposes of familiarity with the basic terminology of the industry and understanding of the regulatory environment. Tech Stack:- SQL Server, on-prem version 2019 Legacy SSRS, Tableu, ETL, SSIS Essential Duties & Responsibilities Gain a thorough understanding of ORIX's business and its related data domains, business processes and system flows Analyze and document current state processes related to data capture for all OCU businesses across the entire investment life-cycle Gather requirements and develop specifications for a Master Data Management (MDM) vendor solution for Private and Syndicated Loans, Real Estate, Municipal Bonds, Securities and Alternative Investments Drive the identification of core data domains which will require mastering and work across stakeholders to gain consensus on definitions Create the specification for the Security Master rule hierarchy, working with users Develop specifications for data models in the EDM aligned to master data which meet the requirements of users Gather requirements and develop specifications for Fund/Party Master Gather requirements and develop specifications for Data Quality and Data Validation rules to be implemented within the EDM Gather requirements and develop specifications for metadata management and a Data Catalog and Data Lineage solution within the EDM tool Ensure that the EDM design meets requirements and specifications Oversee the domain aligned Data Client for LE, Customer, Loan, Security, Ref Data, etc Partner with Data Architect, EDM Platform Lead and Data Client to ensure successful design/implementation of the future state investment data flow centered around the EDM Optimize and redesign the data supply chain for data quality, data completeness, data transparency and single source of truth across the investment life-cycle Analyze current processes which govern core data domains such as Legal Entity, Customer, Loan, Security and Referential Data and implement new policies to ensure compliance with data management standards Understand, document and communicate the key data related issues within each of the domains and develop plans for resolution Help to develop data catalogs, both tactically and strategically, to capture enterprise business definitions Ensure business needs of consumers are met as it relates to data. Examples include high quality data delivery to drive critical functions such as PnL calculation, risk management, capital allocations and analytics Drive operational efficiency and data quality through the full transaction processing life-cycle Work with data owners to define standards for data quality Work with data owners to define and document critical business elements and KPIs Serve as a liaison between Business, Functional areas and Technology to ensure that data related business requirements are clearly defined, communicated and well understood Ensure compliance with legal and information security standards Identify and implement opportunities to automate manual processes related to the data supply chain Evaluate the design, selection, implementation and support of vendor solutions for data management Grow, mature, and enforce modern data documentation standards Assist in setting milestones and timelines and monitor/manage resource allocations Provide oversight for junior data quality analysts and/or Client Other duties as assigned contacts: This position has frequent contact with all levels of employees and management. In addition, this role may interact with outside business partners, vendors, consultants, and other office visitors. Required Education, Skills & Experience BS / MS / BBA in a technical field (mathematics, statistics, engineering, computer science, analytics, management information systems, or similar) 10 years of experience in a data management as a senior business analyst Prior experience implementing an enterprise data management platform and supporting program Experience implementing Master Data Management solutions Understanding of data quality and data integrity Experience working with data management platforms such as ETL, MDM and Data Catalogs Experience in the implementation of data governance practices at a financial institution Ability to analyze and clearly present multiple solutions and options to solve a problem supported by a compelling fact based business case to recommend solutions Ability to break down complex problems into manageable goals, get to the heart of the problem and make timely decisions Knowledge of data management practices, business and technology issues related to management of enterprise information assets and approaches related to data protection Understanding of databases and information system technologies Ability to manage senior relationships across all the Business and Functional areas Ability to develop cooperative and constructive working relationships Demonstrated consulting skills, including strategies for current state assessment, proposals, change management and communication strategies Priority setting and alignment of project priorities Project Oversight and Decision making ability Highest personal and professional integrity and strong work ethics Ability to handle complaints, settle disputes and resolve conflicts Results oriented, willingness to commit to a direction and drive operations to completion Skills Knowledge of finance and capital markets is preferred Knowledge credit products is a big plus Strong excel skills Ability to develop strong partnership with business and IT partners and to work collaboratively with team Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong desire to learn and grow in the data space Deadline driven with a strong attention to detail Sound business judgment and decision making abilities Innovative problem solving, analytical and execution skills Strategic Business Process Automation skills Customer Service and Quality focused Excellent written and verbal communication skills Thanks and Regards!!
