As a founding member of the team, you'll be responsible for helping define our work and how we can most effectively empower the JAX community. While the team's work will be centered around JAX, scope can and should extend to any part of the stack where we can be useful. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $189,000-$284,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Responsibilities Work across the tech stack to improve LLM training and inference performance on GPU. Add new features and publish high-performance open-source kernels. Partner with the JAX team to design and implement new JAX features, and collaborate directly with JAX power users to solve tricky problems and enable new workloads. Create smooth inter-operations between JAX and PyTorch (e.g., for data loading, hybrid models, or portability).
