The highly advanced, scientific applications that are developed by this team support the mission in providing valuable information. This work involves performing highly complex (senior-level) computer programming and software development work. Work involves assisting project managers in coordinating programming and data distribution and providing technical assistance to internal and external customers. Plans and analyzes user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing, data collection and distribution, and to improve existing systems. Assists in maintaining software that retrieves and inserts data into relational databases. Assists in maintaining data related webpages and/or geospatial viewers and providing technical assistance. REQUIRED SKILLS and EXPERIENCE: (Must have all minimum yrs. required skills to be considered): 5 yrs. Experience designing, developing, and implementing applications for computer/software systems 5 yrs. Experience translating the clients business requirements into specific systems, applications, or process designs 5 yrs. Experience analyzing customer service requirements and designing application solutions to meet those objectives 5 yrs. Experience directing the development process from conception to completion and overseeing the efforts of all associated technical staff 5 yrs. Experience with Python 5 yrs. Experience in the development and analysis of geospatial, engineering and/or scientific data 5 yrs. Experience with numerical and statistical models 5 yrs. Experience with NumPy, SciPy, or Pandas 5 yrs. Experience in the development and analysis of time-series data 5 yrs. Experience with the graphical display of engineering and/or scientific data 5 yrs.
