Sr. Cloud Architect with TOGAF Certification

Location: 
Detroit, MI (Need 1 day onsite in a week)

Duration: 6 Months CTH

VISA Status : USC / GC / GC - EAD / H4EAD / L2-EAD ONLY 

Need visa independent candidates  
TOGAF certification is mandatory

Job Roles / Responsibilities:      

The Senior Cloud Architect supports the architecture for cloud computing environments and provides guidance on the implementation of cloud architecture on complex projects.  Works closely with other Cloud Architect team members and collaborates with Cloud Engineers to ensure the cloud strategy is implemented correctly to support the automation and deployment of cloud infrastructure and services. Responsible for architecting, engineering, deploying, and operationally managing the underlying logical and physical cloud computing infrastructure for hosting and application development.  

Key Accountabilities

 Leads a cross-functional team in the implementation of technical requirements for key architectural drivers of cloud computing and raises technical constraints for resolution and participates in resolution

    Supports the design and maintenance of the clients cloud based applications and services

    Designs complex architecture and transition states to get to end state/vision

    Proposes innovative ideas of performing cloud computing functions, products and architectures

    Serves as a liaison for vendors, suppliers, and internal teams.

    Provides technical input on specific technology components and solutions that satisfy business, technology, security, and regulatory objectives.

    Provides technical acumen for cloud services and areas such as cloud application development, scalability, and integration.

    Supports and assists with the monitoring of cloud performance, troubleshooting issues, and coordinating with other business units

    Supports junior team members in technical and agile principles while working on various product teams to support a myriad of complex digital initiatives across the business.

    Provides technical input to support the cloud environments that host cloud applications.

    Benchmarks and researches emerging technologies to determine impact to our cloud computing strategy and provide recommendations to leadership.

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements

This is a multi-track base requirement job; education and experience requirements can be satisfied through one of the following three options: 

    Bachelors degree in Information System discipline and 6 years of experience in technology field, inclusive of 3 years with systems development and systems architecture, software architecture, design, and implementation of cloud initiatives leveraging agile and development and operations (DevOps) methodologies; OR

    Associate degree in Information System discipline and 8 years of experience in technology field, inclusive of 3 years with systems development and systems architecture, software architecture, design, and implementation of cloud initiatives leveraging agile and development and operations (DevOps) methodologies; OR

    High school diploma or GED and 10 years in technology field, inclusive of 3 years with systems development and systems architecture, software architecture, design, and implementation of cloud initiatives leveraging agile and development and operations (DevOps) methodologies

Other Qualifications

    TOGAF 9.2 Certification

    Microsoft Azure Architect certification or 2 years experience as a cloud solution architect in Microsoft Azure

    Industry recognized architecture certification, preferred

Additional requirements include:

    Experience supporting and implementing strategies for deploying and automating cloud infrastructure and platform services, including zero downtime deployment strategies such as red/black or blue/green deployments. 

    Experience supporting and implementing strategies for horizontally and vertically scaling, sync/async, BASE/ACID, multi-zone, and/or multi-region applications. 

    Substantial understanding of software development lifecycles and cloud economics, including knowledge of consumption-driven total cost of ownership

    Knowledgeable in the security implications of public & private cloud infrastructure design

    Understanding of network architectures suitable for different cloud topologies with familiarity with SLO, SLA, and  OLAs for cloud services and organizations
