The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and executing content migration projects, ensuring data integrity, quality, and timeliness. This role involves working closely with customers, end users, content creators, and technical teams to migrate content from legacy systems to new platforms. Responsibilities: Content Migration: Lead end-to-end migration of content from static HTML pages, existing Content Management Systems (CMS), or other sources to the new CMS platform Data Integrity: Ensure the accuracy and consistency of migrated content, addressing any issues that arise during the migration process Project Management: Develop and execute migration schedules, coordinate with stakeholders, and manage project timelines to ensure successful completion. Content Audits: Conduct content audits to identify outdated or redundant content and make recommendations for updates or deletions. User Support: Provide support and training to end users on the new CMS platform, addressing any questions or concerns they may have Quality Assurance: Perform quality checks on migrated content to ensure it meets the companys standards and guidelines Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of migration processes, including steps taken, issues encountered, and resolutions implemented Customer-Facing Systems: Collaborate with customer-facing teams to ensure seamless integration of migrated content into customer-facing systems, such as websites, portals, and applications. Address any issues related to content display, accessibility, and user experience Qualifications: Education: Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field Experience: Proven experience in content migration projects, preferably with experience in CMS platforms such as Box, legacy SharePoint on-premise, SharePoint Online, Google Drive Technical Skills: Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and other web technologies. Familiarity with content management systems and data migration tools Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address content-related issues Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of content migration Preferred Qualifications: Experience with data and content migration projects and legacy system decommissioning Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies Edit Client Job Description Additional Details NAMSA is starting an initiative to move customer and internal content from an old on-premise SharePoint system to either Box or equivalent system. The decision on the target will be based on a technical proof of concept. We are seeking to contract with an individual that can: Analyze the legacy content system to understand folder structures Understand the target environment and gather requirements to confirm the target content system Develop a source-to-target content migration strategy Set and manage the project to migrate the content including a cut over plan that incorporates all required stakeholders Need to be willing to roll up your sleeves and dig in - since client is mid-size, they don't have dedicated teams so may have some tasks outside of JD and must see things through to completion vs. handing off to other teams.
