Description: Role Overview: This role is for Backend Scala Engineers who will be part of a team focused on decoupling services from a parent company. The team will be working on 7-8 large projects in the next year. The team is small, consisting of a technical architect, product owner, and the two Scala engineers to be hired. Job Responsibilities: The primary responsibility of this role is to contribute to new development or maintain services. One of the main areas is account/eligibility functionality. There are several other services this engineer might work on. Qualifications: Strong backend development experience Proficiency in Scala, sbt, Play, Akka Solid experience with RESTful APIs and microservices Experience with CI/CD pipelines and relational databases Some scripting experience - Python or Shell (bash) Software implementation and integration experience with a working knowledge of Agile development lifecycle.
