Job Title: Technical Manager Remote Duration: 6+ Months Responsibilities: Job Description The Bank is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to lead their IT Application Development Managers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in API and application development, cybersecurity, and serves as the primary point of contact for a set(s) of related applications and has overall responsibility for those applications. This is a hands-on position that requires a combination of business application knowledge, strong analytic skills, technical knowledge, project management experience, and excellent communication skills. This role will focus primarily on Development and support of the banks APIs, Mulesoft/Java based applications, Web Development, Automation. Primary Responsibilities: Develop and maintain a deep knowledge of the in-scope applications, including what business functions are provided by each, the technical architecture, and all application interfaces. Adhere to the banks SDLC and employ best practices to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the expectations of project sponsors and stakeholders. Strong experience of managing development teams. Provide guidance to the technical staff for development activities and routine maintenance. Provide subject matter expertise to strategic projects. Assist strategic project teams with creation of use cases and integration testing (pre-UAT). Participate in technical design sessions. Proactively monitor and Lead issue resolution including reconciliation activities and data analysis and provide guidance to technical staff and business personnel. Conduct code reviews, ensure coding standards are followed, and perform quality assurance to maintain the integrity and performance of the applications. Identify, diagnose, and resolve complex technical issues efficiently. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies, continuously seeking opportunities to enhance our technology stack and processes. Monitor the banks end-of-day processes and assist with problem resolution as needed; escalate when appropriate. Qualifications 15+ years IT experience in the banking/finance industry highly preferred. Experience with one or more of the following; Capital Markets, Wealth management, analytics, reconciliation, and regulatory reporting strongly desired. Outstanding organizational and leadership skills with an ability to drive issues to consensus while promoting a positive collaborative environment. Ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels. Strong business focused experience. Versed in development methodologies such as waterfall and agile. Heavy experience with applications development, Architecture, Complex systems development using APIs , Realtime APIs, Payment systems, Web based apps, Cloud based apps, systems integration, data conversions, and applications installation, configuration, upgrades, and decommissioning. Strong technical skills such as Mulesoft, Java, SQL Server, Oracle, MS Windows, Linux, Excellent analytical skills. Experience managing vendor relationships. Ability to work effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines. Willingness to take ownership and accountability. Familiarity with market data providers such as Bloomberg, Reuters. Experience with financial regulatory standards such as Basel II/III and Dodd Frank are all plusses. MuleSoft Certified Developer / Architect Good to have - At least 3 Hands-on MuleSoft Project implementations Experience with JIRA, Bit Bucket and Jenkins required. CI/CD pipeline, DevOps experience plus Detailed understanding of Domain Driven Design and Aspect Oriented Programming Experience with a range of web programming languages such as Java, J2EE, XML, XSD, JSON, Springboot Large scale application development and integration experience Self-motivated when it comes to tasking and development planning Great communication skills and confidence to manage up Core Banking or Lending Business skills/knowledge a plus. Skills : 15+ years of applications development experience covering APIs, Web Development, Large scale applications.
