Must ensure that data is secure and compliant with regulations such as GDPR, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS. DBA must work closely with their organizations security team to identify and address potential security risks, implement access controls, and ensure appropriate data is encrypted both in transit and at rest. Must monitor the performance of cloud-based databases and optimize them to ensure that they meet the organizations requirements. Of course, DBAs must also be proficient in traditional performance optimization techniques such as index optimization, query optimization, database statistics collection, and partitioning and apply them to cloud databases. Must collaborate closely with DevOps teams to ensure that databases are integrated seamlessly into the development and deployment processes. This includes automating database deployments, version control, and continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD). Work closely with clients and internal teams to gather data integration requirements, understanding the business logic, data sources, and destinations. Install, configure, and maintain the HVR software platform, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. Develop and implement data replication solutions, including source-target mapping, data transformation, and error handling mechanisms. Monitor and troubleshoot data replication jobs, addressing and resolving any issues to minimize downtime and data loss. Collaborate with database administrators, data engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth integration with various databases and applications. Fine-tune HVR configurations to optimize data replication performance, adjusting as needed to meet changing business needs.
