| Role : Technical Solution Architect Location: San Francisco, CA- Remote Type: Contract -12+ Months Description: Looking for someone with Retail Inventory & Merchandising background - Current Technical Solution Architect with a Development background (Full stack) - React, Java, Azure Cloud, Kafka, Microservices & JDA Fulfillment/Allocation/Space Planning. Responsible for architecture, design as well as lead engineers for developing applications on Sephora Inventory, Planning and Merchandising Systems. He/She acts as Mentor and lead Engineer working with Vendors and Internal Engineers to architect, design and develop software applications. Responsibilities The product team works with business. The technical engineer works with product to understand the requirements to provide solutions. The build team, based on a proposed solution, will build the product. Your role as the technical solution architect will act as a sandwich between product and build: solution design and architecture. Specifically merchandising and inventory planning applications. Collaborates with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver appropriate solutions while providing technical support and guidance to team members and stakeholders Able to mentor, guide and lead Engineers to deliver solutions on time per scope. Able to lead Development of Large Projects with help from Vendor Augmented staff or internal Engineers. Fully hands on Engineer and able to work resolving technical issues, design & development for Inventory and Merchandising systems. Work with Engineers to follow standards & utilize Agile development process to deliver enhancements & projects. Strong Engineering mindset is needed. Provide technical Approach to Engineers and ensure correct Code developed per Sephora standards Able to lead development work for Large projects working with Solution Architects and Vendors to convert requirements into Software solution. Work closely with business unit to understand operational opportunities and initiatives to effectively liaison between the business unit and IT Work with Cross Functional teams for finalizing design and creating interface specifications. Design scalable and portable applications in Inventory, Planning and Merchandising area. Good mentoring skills to monitor Engineers assignment, quality of work and Delivery. Experience and Requirements BS or Engineering with 7+ years of retail and system experience developing applications with recent 3+ years architecting and designing solutions. Supply chain merch/retail experience. Architecting design solutions on merchandizing and supply chain. O9 or blue yonder (space planning knowledge), preferred, but not necessary. (May not have all the supply chain technologies, just important worked with a few) Web experiences/full stack developer background: react, java, azure cloud, Kafka, microservices. Experience of Backend DB Oracle, MySQL, and PL/SQL. Must have worked on leading design and development work for large projects. Experience and knowledge of Retail business and Merchandising and Inventory functions required, including a solid understanding of basic operational processes (picking, packing, shipping, cycle counting, etc...) Strong Integration experience other Supply Chain systems like WMS/Logistics/TMS/ODS.
