Data Security engineer (ESC/CST only) Job Description: The Business Intelligence Developer will play a critical role in analyzing cybersecurity data, developing insightful dashboards, and generating comprehensive intrusion reports. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in BI development, hands-on experience with Azure Sentinel, and expertise in Power BI. This role requires a proactive individual who can leverage data to enhance our cybersecurity measures and provide actionable insights. Key Responsibilities: Develop and Maintain BI Solutions : Design, develop, and maintain business intelligence solutions, including data models, reports, and dashboards, using Power BI. Data Analysis and Reporting : Analyze cybersecurity data to identify trends, anomalies, and potential threats. Generate detailed intrusion reports and present findings to stakeholders. Azure Sentinel Integration : Utilize Azure Sentinel for real-time monitoring, threat detection, and automated response to security incidents. Integrate Azure Sentinel data with BI tools for comprehensive reporting. Collaborate with Security Teams : Work closely with cybersecurity teams to understand their data needs and develop solutions that provide actionable insights to improve security measures. Optimize Data Sources : Ensure data accuracy and integrity by optimizing data sources and ETL processes. Implement data governance best practices. Training and Support : Provide training and support to end-users on how to use BI tools and interpret the data provided in reports and dashboards. Required Skills and Qualifications: Education : Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field. Experience : Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Business Intelligence Developer or similar role, with a focus on cybersecurity. Technical Skills : Proficiency in Power BI, including DAX and Power Query. Hands-on experience with Azure Sentinel and its integration with BI tools. Strong knowledge of data warehousing, ETL processes, and data modeling. Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and threat analysis. Analytical Skills : Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets. Communication : Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to present complex data in a clear and concise manner to non-technical stakeholders. Certifications : Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate or equivalent are a plus. Preferred Skills: Experience with other BI tools and platforms. Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or R for data analysis.
