Location: ONSITE in Cedar Rapids, IA (LOCAL to IOWA area ONLY) Duration: 6+ months Contract to Hire Interview: Phone/Skype Automation SOFTWARE DEVELOPER Avionics Advanced Technology Scenario Robustness testing framework This position is for an early/mid-career software developer to be part of a team building out automation technology for avionics systems testing. The Avionics Advanced Technology Development Sandbox team is chartered with defining new disruptive developmental process improvements for the Avionics business unit to enable faster cycle times, lower total lifecycle cost, reduce tech debt and enable greater reusability. As the organization prepares for single-pilot operations (SPO), the need for rapid robust scenario-based testing of our systems is needed. The Million Hour Scenario project combines the concepts of ontologies, modeling, scenario-generation, automated systems tests, and highly scaled cloud compute environments to conduct a Million Hours of systems testing in 2-weeks of wall-clock time. This position will be performed on-site in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Basic Must-Have Qualifications: - Must be a U.S. Person /Permanent Resident Green Card holder - Strong SOFTWARE DEVELOPER - Experience in Python preferred - Complex Systems Development / Integration Experience - Avionics/Aerospace experience preferred - Willing to work on a variety of different technical tasks, including the following: - GUI / workflow development for scenario based testing toolchain - Analysis of flight data to build scenarios - Operational state space modeling / sampling methodologies development - System evaluation script development - Flight S - Excellent technical communicator, has experience understanding & translating complex problems & systems to others Regards!!
