Experience and Installing and configuring Db2 on Z/os. Configuration and working with DBA. Stable mainframe database environment. Performance tuning. Nice to have: Enhancing the resilience of DB2 is a plus. IBM, BMC or Broadcom would be a big plus. Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills: 7 plus years of IBM Db2 systems programming experience in a mainframe z/OS operating system Experience with supporting and upgrading IBM Db2 V12 & V13 subsystems, SMP/E (Software Management Program/Extended), managing Continuous Delivery Function Levels, performing Db2 Buffer Pool Tuning and Dump Analysis, SQL and REXX Formal training or certification on software engineering* concepts and 5+ years applied experience Deep knowledge of one or more areas of infrastructure engineering such as hardware, networking terminology, databases, storage engineering, deployment practices, integration, automation, scaling, resilience, or performance assessments Deep knowledge of one specific infrastructure technology and scripting languages (e.g., Scripting, Python, etc.) Drives to continue to develop technical and cross-functional knowledge outside of the product Deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure and multiple cloud technologies with the ability to operate in and migrate across public and private clouds Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:Experience IBM Db2 Analytics Accelerator, Data Studio and Admin Foundation for z/OS Knowledge with Db2 Replication tools like IBM QREP, IBM Change Data Capture and IBM Db2 Integrated Synchronization Experience with Db2 ISV products like Broadcom/CA Platinum Utilities, BMC Recovery Manager and Db2 IBM tools including Db2 Sort and High Keywords: zos wtwo California New Jersey Ohio Texas :Mainframe ZOS system programmer.(W2) [email protected] |
