This position reports to the Deputy Information Security Officer and ensures adherence to Commonwealth of Virginia Information Security Policies and Standards. Responsibilities: Document processes and create business-focused documentation. Share insights on Security Architecture and IT Governance. Provide written guidance on security policies/standards. Perform Security Compliance and Control Evaluation, Risk analysis, and exception documentation. Collaborate with business areas and cross-functional Enterprise Architects. Develop roadmaps and strategies to support agency KPIs. Design/Implement Enterprise Security/technology patterns. Consult on initiatives and provide tactical direction. Research and share findings on platform technology, security, and cloud. Qualifications: 5+ years of comprehensive knowledge of Information Security principles. Practical experience in identity and access management, IT risk management, business continuity, and IT disaster recovery planning. Knowledge of IT Security Governance and Compliance. 5+ years of experience in business writing and presenting. 4+ years of educational or career experience in Cybersecurity, Government technology implementation, IT Governance, or related fields. Experience with Cloud-based technologies, Identity & Access Management, Vulnerability Management, firewalls, computer forensic techniques, databases, collaboration tools, web & mail services. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to work with all levels of management and external entities. Understanding of customer priorities and business criticality of platforms, applications, and services. Requirements: Local candidates with a valid driver's license.
