| From: Kanchan Sharma, Tek Inspirations LLC [email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Hello, Hope you are doing well, Please check the below job description and let me know if you have any suitable candidate for the same: Job Description - DOCSIS Network Engineer Location: Englewood CO 80112 hybrid, 4 days onsite and 1 day remote Duration: 12+ month contract potential to convert and/or extend Candidates must be local and willing to work onsite Related Work Experience / Number of Years 2+ years of experience to qualify for the DOCSIS Network Engineer position Number of Positions : 2 (1 opening for the DOCSIS Senior Network Engineer position and 1 opening for the DOCSIS Network Engineer position) JOB OVERVIEW Work with engineering team to review firmware requirements and provide feedback Participate in weekly bug classification and prioritization Establish test network environments as documented in test plans Perform system-wide end-to-end integration and regression testing Document results and review with designated teams or vendors as needed. Work with vendor and other stakeholders to resolve issues discovered during testing; develop and document workarounds where possible, and assist operations team with implementation and escalations as needed Participate in Operational handoff review activities Accomplish the above tasks within allotted project timelines Required Qualifications Candidates should have at least 2 years of hands-on network engineering experience, preferably with a cable Multiple System Operator (MSO) or Internet Service Provider (ISP). Experience in CPE (customer premise equipment i.e internet, triple play, etc) Testing is strongly desired. Will test product functions of these routers/modems/devices Candidates must have a good understanding of DOCSIS (DOCSIS is Nice to have, not must have), PacketCable and provisioning, including TR069. Experience with IP routing, IP multicast, streaming video, wireless, Voice over IP (VoIP), and/or home networking is desired. Candidates must demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills. The candidate must be a team player, with an inherent ability to work well under tight timelines, and have strong problem solving capabilities. Ability to work in a team environment Knowledge of related industry specifications and standards IEEE, ANSI, Fiber (Multimode, Single mode, UTP, etc.), Bridging, Switching, Routing, Ethernet and Transport technologies and protocols Knowledge in network design, network architecture, protocols and network topology Knowledge in using ticketing and software tools to support the current operations.
