| HII ALL Role: Data Engineer-Snowflake Location: Buffalo, NY (Day 1 On-Site) Experience: 12+ years Minimum of 5 years of experience in data engineering roles. Details Job Description Strong knowledge in data warehousing/data lake concepts and best practices Knowledge of Snowflake's architecture, features, and best practices. Proficiency in designing and implementing data solutions using Snowflake. Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes within Snowflake, ensuring reliability and scalability. Collaborate with data architects and stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Optimize and tune SQL queries and data pipelines for performance and efficiency. Implement data governance and best practices for data quality, security, and compliance within Snowflake databases Monitor and troubleshoot data processing issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal downtime. Primary Skills Minimum of 5 years of experience in data engineering roles. Strong knowledge in data warehousing/data lake concepts and best practices Knowledge of Snowflake's architecture, features, and best practices. Proficiency in designing and implementing data solutions using Snowflake. Strong expertise in SQL, including complex query optimization and performance tuning within Snowflake environments. Experience in data modeling, schema design, and optimization for Snowflake databases. Familiarity with Cloud platforms like Azure/AWS /GCP Experience with data integration, ETL processes, and data pipeline development in snowflake and SAP /cloud platforms. Secondary Skills ( Good to have) Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Adaptability and willingness to learn modern technologies and methodologies. Certifications Required(If Any) Bachelors or masters degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field. Certifications related to data engineering, cloud platforms, or Snowflake (Snowpro core, Snowpro Advanced Data Engineer)are desirable but not mandatory.
