Role: Hadoop Developer with Java Location: Austin, TX (Onsite) Duration: 12 Months JD: A dedicated individual with good development knowledge in Java. But must have exposure in Big Data tools Must Have Skills: Java, Hive, HDFS, Hive, Spark, GIT, Linux Good to have skills: Python, Oracle, oozie, Airflow, AWS Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Strong proficiency in Java programming language, with a focus on designing and implementing scalable applications. Demonstrated experience in developing and optimizing MapReduce jobs, Hive queries, and Pig scripts. Solid understanding of the Hadoop ecosystem, including HDFS, YARN, and related tools (Hive, HBase, etc.). Proficiency in SQL and relational databases, along with data modeling concepts. Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative software development practices. Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude towards identifying and addressing technical challenges. Excellent teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills. Experience with other big data technologies such as Apache Spark, Apache Kafka, or Apache Flink. Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) for deploying and managing Hadoop clusters. Exposure to containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
