| Software System Engineer (GIS) Location: Richmond, VA Duration: Contract Notes: Hybrid Travel - 1 Week (Mon Travel, Tues, Wed, Thu on Premise, Thurs evening or Friday Travel) Per Month to Richmond The highlighted requirements are most important. In this position, work closely with Dominion GIS Utility Network Teams to establish solutions to make them successful, broaden the effect of GIS within the company and help shape the evolution of the UN solution while promoting the use of Esri technology to enable success and support its configuration development in Desktop, Mobile & Web. Responsibilities Help IT & GIS UN Teams translate requirements in GIS technology-driven solutions through the implementation of Esris enterprise GIS technology. Collect, organize, and prepare use case requirements objectives, and workflows to translate into meaningful design build and test plans. Provide technical guidance and advice. Support and Lead project teams during requirements, analysis, design, build, and rollout Requirements Experience applying GIS technology within electric and gas utilities sector. Experience with Pro, Online, Portal, ArcGIS Utility Network. Experience with desktop, client/server, Internet applications, and architectures. Familiarity with RDBMS/geodatabase design concepts Demonstrated experience applying electric and gas utilities GIS data management frameworks. Work with GIS Development Data Analysts, Technical Specialists and Software System Engineers, Analysts, and Architects to implement requirements. Experience in the integration of GIS with WAM/WMS, ADMS, OMS, CIS Knowledgeable of utility workflow - inspection & integrity management, asset management, right-of-way corridor, design, construction, network analysis, integration with other systems.
