The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing, programming, testing, debugging, and analyzing complex software requirements to design and develop high-quality components using the .NET Core framework. This role involves working on the agency-wide financial and budget management tool for the Maintenance Program. Key Responsibilities: Develop, program, and code in .NET Core environment applications and backend services using C#, Web API, JavaScript, JQuery, Angular or Blazor, and CSS. Design, develop, and program using appropriate software design patterns for high reusability and maintainability. Write effective unit tests and integration tests to ensure high-quality software delivery. Utilize in-depth programming knowledge, system design patterns, tiered architecture, and testing practices. Understand key business processes and competitive strategies related to the IT function. Collaborate with project architects, project managers, business owners, and system analysts to clarify and implement requirements. Participate in Agile Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) practices. Required Skills and Experience: Skill Required/Desired Amount of Experience C#.NET Development experience Required 14+ Years Angular or Blazor Development experience Required 5+ Years Strong Database development experience using SQL Server Required 14+ Years Experience with Web API Required 5+ Years Experience with CSS3 and HTML5 Required 5+ Years Experience with Source Control using TFS Required 10+ Years Experience with Automated Builds using Microsoft Team Foundation Required 5+ Years Excellent Troubleshooting skills Required 12+ Years Experience with Agile SDLC best practices Required 5+ Years Experience working in Oracle Desired 2+ Years Understanding of SOAP Services Desired 5+ Years Familiar with Azure Cloud Concepts Nice to have 1+ Years Experience with PowerBI Nice to have 1+ Years Preferred Qualifications: Candidates who already reside in Richmond, VA. Strong communication skills to effectively engage in technical and business requirement discussions. Experience with financial and budget management systems in a government setting.
