Position: Excel VBA Developer Location: NYC (100% Onsite) Job Type: Long Term Contract Job Description/Qualifications: Experience with Investment banking (Equities and Options), Bloomberg, Market Data. Strong experience with Excel, VBA and SQL. Organizing and maintaining in-house Excel spreadsheets used for day-to-day trading. Consulting with vendors and clients to integrate and update company technology. Collaboration with vendor who is currently in final stages of building proprietary company application. Implementing secure team server / enhancing current team collaboration functions / processes (e.g. Google Docs / Microsoft OneDrive). Working closely with trading desks to build and support their tools. Reviewing gathered requirement. Working with traders on the trading floor and remote users. Knowledge of Production Support processes and procedures as required (for Tier 1 and Critical services in US). Ability to multi-task efficiently (role will work potentially require working across several applications in parallel). Operational Resilience: Have shown strong ability to adapt and operate through disruptive change. Agile critical thinker able to lead through change at pace and with resilience. Excellent written and verbal communication. Required Experience: This position requires a strong knowledge Excel / VBA development. Experience with Equities, Options, Market Data and Bloomberg. Analyzing and designing applications efficiently to ensure that customers' needs are met respecting due dates. Modifying or creating new user interfaces in Excel, Macros, Creating and Modifying charts and reports, Alerts, building formulas, cell formatting, Data Recording, Analyze Data quickly and Accurately. Troubleshooting VBA code and stored procedures. Participating in application testing process. 5-8 years of experience in writing Excel VBA code, developing and troubleshooting. 5 years in SQL. Ability to work independently and as a team player in fast paced dynamic software development/support environments. Strong analytical skills for problem solving.
