| CEIPAL ATS - Simplified Recruiting and Staffing Job Title: Senior Data Privacy, Security, and AI Data Governance Advisor Client: Freddie Mac Location : Mclean VA Any working visa is fine Need Seniors only Senior Data Privacy, Security, and AI Data Governance Advisor will guide the implementation of a comprehensive, strategic initiative at an enterprise financial services firm. This position requires extensive experience in privacy operations, data governance, cybersecurity, enterprise risk management, and compliance with data protection regulations. Key Responsibilities Provide leadership and direction for the implementation of privacy strategy in a financial services environment, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements. Champion the data protection and governance strategy across various teams, building partnerships and influencing stakeholders to drive messaging and compliance. Advise the organization to design operational practices that enable business objectives and maintain ethical use of sensitive and personal data. Data Security and Privacy Develop a tailored, comprehensive data privacy and security risk management framework, aligned to NIST's Privacy and AI Risk Management Frameworks, as well as NIST SP 800-53 controls. Ensure secure data sharing and access across decentralized nodes, leveraging advanced technologies like AI for real-time decision-making. Provide guidance and expert opinions to organizational stakeholders, who will conduct privacy impact assessments and audits to identify and mitigate risks, threats, and vulnerabilities. Compliance and Risk Management Contribute to the development of privacy, data protection, and AI governance policies, standards, and procedures to foster organizational alignment with best practices and comply with privacy and consumer protection regulations (e.g., GLBA, CPRA). Lead the integration of privacy and security practices into the data and service development lifecycles, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality from ingestion to archiving. Educate client leaders to integrate privacy-by-design principles into business operations. Advise stakeholders as they update and maintain critical data protection artifacts, including, but not limited to, Incident Response and Business Continuity Plans, Privacy Notices, and contingency plans. Collaboration and Culture Collaborate with cross-functional teams to foster a culture of security awareness and ensure that data security and privacy principles are embedded in all data operations. Act as a bridge between business and IT to ensure that business users can access the right data while maintaining security and compliance. Technical Expertise Utilize a deep knowledge of cybersecurity standards and controls, particularly within distributed data infrastructures. Guide the selection and implementation of technical solutions that comply with NIST controls and other relevant standards. Stay abreast of the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies, and advise client leaders on proactive responses to continually enhance the security posture of the organization. Required Skills and Experience Experience: 7-10 years in privacy, security, and data governance strategy, with demonstrable knowledge of AI governance. Technical Knowledge: Expertise in designing and managing security solutions within complex, distributed data environments. Regulatory Knowledge: Thorough understanding of global data protection regulations and encryption protocols. Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex topics for executive communication. Leadership: Proven ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams, driving a culture of compliance and security awareness.
