| From: Harsh Timori, Sibitalent [email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Job Title: Lead/Sr. AWS Engineer Location: Hybrid onsite in Hartford, CT Contract Type: 6-month Contract-to-Hire (C2H) Rate: $60-65/hr (C2C) MAX Visa : USC & GC ONLY Job Overview: We are seeking a Senior Technical Resource to drive a major AWS Application and Data Source Migration as part of a significant Modernization Program. This role requires two highly skilled professionals: An expert in AWS Application Modernization. An expert in Data Modernization and Simplification. Key Requirements: Extensive experience with AWS Cloud and practical certification. Deep hands-on knowledge of AWS design and application refactoring for migration using native services. Ability to identify dependencies for data and application integration to optimize migration. 3-5 years of hands-on experience with AWS Migration. 7-10 years of experience in Application and Data Modernization, leading multiple matrixed teams of architects, developers, and cloud/data/security engineers. Preferred Skills: Strong AWS technical skills; not just implementation/delivery. Hands-on AWS technical expertise. AWS certification preferred. Technical Program Management experience. Experience with hybrid cloud environments. Responsibilities: Provide technical ownership for end-to-end app migration processes across multiple lines of business. Collaborate with app architects, developers, cloud engineers, and security engineers to oversee the migration of 400+ applications and data assets to the cloud. Use technical experience to influence app modernization efforts. Drive adoption of cloud-native solutions in partnership with cloud services teams. Plan for upstream and downstream integrations and dependencies for applications. Work closely with cloud services teams to influence service delivery during AWS migration. Update and collaborate with senior leadership on program alignment with business and technology strategies. Coordinate across multiple value streams, technology teams, and vendors to ensure timely, budget-conscious delivery that meets strategic and business requirements. Identify, log, and mitigate project risks and issues. Articulate complex schedules and inter-dependencies clearly for stakeholders. Education: Bachelors degree in a relevant field required. Tools Knowledge & Certifications: AWS Practitioner Certification preferred. Hands-on experience with Rally, MS Excel, Word, Visio, Project, Jira, and PowerPoint. Work Experience: 3+ years of proven experience in major cloud migration projects to AWS. 10+ years of combined IT experience in strong AWS engineering and execution. Experience managing large, complex cloud projects with budgets of $50M+. Experience in full SDLC project delivery using various methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum). Proven track record of leading and influencing executives toward common goals. Ability to drive deliverables through influence over authority. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Strong quantitative and qualitative analysis, problem-solving, and troubleshooting capabilities.
