Job Title: BI Enablement Specialist Location: DC, Washington (Onsite) Duration: 6+ Months Primary Skills: data modeling, PL/SQL, Tableau. CANDIDATE MUST BE LOCAL TO Washington, DC JOB DETAILS Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and deploy scalable and efficient Business Intelligence (BI) solutions using Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server. Create and manage reporting objects such as Facts, Attributes, Hierarchies, Filters, Calculated Fields, Sets, Groups, and Parameters within Tableau. Integrate Tableau Dashboards with external portals and applications, ensuring seamless data flow and user experience. Optimize SQL queries and database performance, utilizing tools like Explain Plans and TKPROF. Experience in handling large volumes of data, partitioning strategies, materialized views, and optimizing code units for performance requirements. Proficient in writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, packages, triggers using SQL and PL/SQL, and leveraging External Tables for file-based data integration. Implement dimensional data modeling for effective data analysis, design, development, and testing of data warehousing solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business stakeholders, data engineers, and developers to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications and BI solutions. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation. Required Skills and Qualifications: Proven experience as a Solution Architect or BI Specialist with expertise in Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server. Strong understanding of BI reporting concepts and methodologies. Hands-on experience in performance tuning SQL queries and optimizing database performance. Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and experience with database technologies. Familiarity with dimensional data modeling principles. Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical requirements into business solutions. Preferred Skills: Certification in Tableau or relevant BI technologies. Experience with other BI tools or reporting platforms.
