Role: IT Security Analyst 3 Location: Richmond, VA Experience: 12 Years Interview: In-person required Need Locals To VA or MD or WashingtonDC Job Summary The IT Security Analyst will Support the Office of Information Security by implementing strategies and procedures related to security. Ensure Compliance with Commonwealth of Virginia Information Security Policies and Standards. Handle Multiple Responsibilities including identity and access management, IT risk management, business continuity, IT disaster recovery planning, security awareness training, vulnerability management, and incident management. Responsibilities Document processes, script narratives, and create executive summaries for varied technical audiences. Develop business-focused documentation to communicate effectively with readers of different technical levels. Provide insights into Security Architecture and IT Governance approaches and implementation methodologies. Research and offer written guidance on aligning with security policies and standards. Perform tasks related to Security Compliance, Control Evaluation, Risk Analysis, and exception documentation. Collaborate with Business areas and Enterprise Architects to understand business needs and provide strategic data security and risk management advice. Work with architects and technical teams to develop roadmaps and strategies supporting agency KPIs. Design and implement Enterprise Security and technology patterns. Consult on initiatives, offer tactical direction, and provide architecture considerations for legacy solutions. Research and share findings on architecture governance, controls, and peer review processes related to platform technology, security, and cloud. Qualifications Knowledge: Deep understanding of Information Security principles, trends, best practices, controls, and architecture. Experience: Hands-on experience with identity and access management, IT risk management, disaster recovery planning, vulnerability management, and security incident management. Standards Familiarity: Knowledge of Commonwealth of Virginias Information Security Standards or NIST 800-53. Skills: Comprehensive knowledge of Information Security principles; including information security trends, emerging technologies, best-practices, controls, Practical experience with identity and access management, IT risk management, business continuity and IT disaster recovery planning Knowledge of IT Security Governance and Compliance Experience in business writing and presenting Educational or Career Experience in Cybersecurity, Government technology implementation, IT Governance or related fields.
