| Position Title: Tableau Consultant Location: Plano, TX Duration: 12 Months Rate $60/Hr. on C2C max Note: Please do not submit resumes of candidates who have job-hopped frequently. Our client specifically prefers candidates who have worked with direct System Integrators (SIs) or directly with clients. For instance, candidates with 10 years of overall experience should ideally have only three projects listed. Responsibilities: The Tableau consultant will be responsible for the design and development of visual analysis tools, dashboards and reports used by Toyota marketing stakeholders, primarily in Tableau with deep collaboration with back-end data engineers. Responsible for end-to-end development and ability to create complex calculations including LOD expressions, action filters, user filters and implement advanced dashboard practices in Tableau Regularly demonstrate and implement the numerous capabilities of Tableau, such as multi-source dashboards, data blending, table calculations, advanced calculated fields, customized visuals, etc. Identify data quality issues and support overall data governance by IT Cx team Support ad-hoc analytics needs by delivering analytics solutions and assisting in interpretation of data Communicate project status, risks, dependencies and roadblocks for technical audiences and business stakeholders. Requirements: Bachelors degree in business, Marketing, Mathematics, Computer Science or Statistics, with significant quantitative course work is required. 5+ years of strong experience in building data visualizations using Tableau. 5+ years of strong experience using relational databases and writing custom SQL queries. Intermediate level experience in data analysis and reporting. Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy. Good understanding of application code development, system integrations, SecDevOps practices in a cloud environment primarily AWS with awareness about site reliability engineering principles, coupled with a willingness to learn and expand the knowledge. Experienced in a distributed system representation using UML or C4 to ensure that a standard system depiction across the architecture team. What youll be doing: Contribute to an overall Enterprise Architecture strategic plan. Establish, develop, and promote standard architecture, frameworks, and guidelines. Analyze complex business and technical problems related to the implementation of new technology and/or the customization of existing technologies. Partner with other technology teams to work with business executives and end users to conceptualize new application projects, recommend technologies and implementation strategies then architect/design for requirements of the project within financial and timeline. Define and communicate complex technical and operational solutions and translate complex topics into simple business language to drive the value alignment. Preparing technical solution and architecture documents, artifacts, work products and presentations. Enforce standards, frameworks, and architecture principles and governance to keep the overall architecture evolving toward the target state. Create level 1 architecture diagrams to define vehicle to cloud, channel to cloud and system architecture for the connected vehicle program. Work with the cyber security and the web security team to ensure the compliance to the technical solution being implemented. Perform as an individual contributor and colleague who enjoys collaborating with, learning from, and mentoring program team members on security disciplines to bolster overall security posture to lower the business risk profile. Guide the technical leads to create the component and process flow diagrams and assist the application support team for performance, scalability, reliability, and capacity planning. Added bonus if you have (Preferred): Good knowledge of authentication/authorization standards, protocols, and frameworks such as OpenID, SAML, OAuth, JWT, CA, X.509, MTLS, etc. with a conceptual knowledge of IT Architectural frameworks like TOGAF with good understanding of service mesh and TechRadar practices Maintain application-level roadmaps, short term, and long-term strategic plans to align with the forward-looking deliverables and architecture guardrails around development and release management process.
