Role: Senior Java Software Engineer 5+ years project Place of performance: 10 Center Drive or 35A Convent Drive, Bethesda, MD 20892, as well as any other buildings NINDS may occupy in the future. The Contractor may also be required to work at other NIH sites within ten (10) miles of the primary place of performance as needed. All HHS personnel requires Public Trust to work, irrespective of the agency. Prior NIH or any HHS agency work experience is required perhaps exact NINDs experience in BRICS platform. Minimum Requirements: Have a bachelor's degree in computer science or related field and additional eight years of Java Web application development experience or at least ten years of equivalent experience. Have a minimum 2-3 years of in-memory data store, Redis, bar code, clinical, and biospecimen data management experience. Have the knowledge and experience using Java incorporating Spring Framework and Hibernate. Can create Web APIs and design RESTful web services. Possess knowledge of Python, R, Tableau, statistical analysis tools, and NIH experience a plus. Have the knowledge and working experience in developing web services and maintaining source code and deploying applications via various technologies such as CVS, SVN, Jira, Confluence, etc. Have solid understanding of full system development life cycle, federal security, privacy and Section 508 compliance requirements. Have strong site navigation and user interface design skills, great communication, problem solving and interpersonal skills and work well in a team environment. Have the knowledge of NIH environment and enterprise systems is a plus. Have solid experience with Reverse engineering and refactoring code. Have experience with clinical study data management, eCRFs accurate reporting, JasperReports, Junit, Web Services, SoapUI, Maven, Struts, clinical research document review process, and integration with bio specimen bar code system. Have excellent customer service skills and thoroughly trained and experienced in system development and support. Have good communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers and team members.
