They are responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining data solutions that drive business insights and support strategic decision-making. As a key influencer and change agent, the Data Architect collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure data governance, quality, and standardization. Lets dive into the specifics: Data Governance and Quality: Champion data governance practices and policies. Influence stakeholders to adhere to data standards and best practices. Implement data quality frameworks, including profiling, cleansing, deduplication, and monitoring. Platform Design : Understand modern data platform architectures, especially cloud-native solutions. Design scalable, reliable, and cost-effective data platforms using AWS services or other cloud providers. Data Modeling : Proficiently create efficient data schemas that meet analytical and operational needs. Ensure adherence to performance and scalability best practices. Data Integration : Expertise in integrating data from diverse sources. Familiarity with ETL/ELT tools and real-time data integration methods. Cloud Computing : Understand cloud concepts and have hands-on experience with AWS or other cloud platforms. Familiarity with services like S3, Redshift, Glue, and Athena. Programming and Scripting : Proficiency in Python and SQL for data processing, automation, and scripting. Communication and Stakeholder Management : Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Translate business requirements into technical solutions.
