| Title: Security Engineer II Location: Coppell, Texas (Locals required only!!) 100% onsite with local ID Duration: 6 month CTH Rate: $50/hr. on C2C Max Visa: US Citizen or GC Candidate must have an updated LinkedIn ID (REQUIRED!!) Conversion salary is $96,000 per year Additional Qualifications Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure preferred. Experience with one or more of the following: ISO 27001, NIST, PCI, HIPAA, Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health (HITECH), SOX, GDPR, Center for Internet Security (CIS) or Service Organization Controls (SOC) 2. Working knowledge of Windows, Linux, and/or MAC operating systems. Self-motivated, directed, and well-organized, with the vision to position controls in anticipation of threats. Education Requirements Bachelor's degree in computer science, information assurance, MIS or related field, or equivalent industry experience. Essential Job Duties: Network Security: Manage intrusion detection systems, policies, and alert configuration to promptly identify and respond to potential threats. Implement threat monitoring protocols to proactively detect and mitigate security risks. Endpoint Security: Design, implement, and manage endpoint security solutions to protect against malware, ransomware, and other security threats. Implement threat monitoring protocols to proactively detect and mitigate security risks. Configure and maintain endpoint security tools, such as antivirus software, endpoint detection and response (EDR) solutions, and encryption technologies. Monitor and analyze endpoint security alerts and take appropriate action to mitigate risks. Incident Response: Lead and participate in incident response activities related to endpoint security incidents. Conduct root cause analysis and develop remediation plans to address security incidents. Collaborate with other IT and security teams to ensure timely resolution of security incidents. Certificate Management: Oversee the complete lifecycle of SSL/TLS certificates, including issuance, renewal, and revocation. Ensure critical systems, applications, and websites are protected with up-to-date and valid certificates. Maintain a comprehensive inventory of certificates and manage key and certificate repositories securely. Automation and Scripting: Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell, Python, Bash, etc. Enhance operational efficiency and reduce the risk of human errors through automation. Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular scans of systems and networks to identify vulnerabilities. Perform thorough vulnerability assessments and penetration tests to understand the organization's exposure. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize vulnerabilities and implement effective remediation strategies. ITIL Service Management: Apply ITIL service management principles and best practices to enhance incident response and service delivery processes. Ensure efficient support to internal and external stakeholders through well-defined incident, problem, and change management processes. Compliance and Security Standards: Ensure the company's compliance with relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements, such as NIST, ISO, or GDPR. Uphold security best practices and continuously monitor for any changes in compliance requirements. Participate in audits and assessments to validate compliance.
