| From: Vikas Rai, Samson Software Solution [email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Title: Embedded Software Engineer 2 Location: Mossville, IL Job Description: o The main function of an embedded software engineer is to apply the principles of computer science and mathematical analysis to the design, development, testing, and evaluation of the embedded software and systems that make computers work. o A typical embedded software engineer researches, designs, develops and tests operating systems-level software, compilers, and network distribution software for medical, industrial, military, communications, aerospace, business, scientific and general computing applications. Job Responsibilities: o Verification software of embedded devices and systems from requirements to production and commercial deployment for product line for electrification. o Use of Hardware in the Loop assets in verification and development of Automation for test cases. o Analyze and enhance efficiency, stability and scalability of system resources o Review project requests and user needs to estimate time and cost required to accomplish project. Skills: o Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills. o Knowledge of reading schematics and data sheets for components o Basic knowledge of the full software development lifecycle: from business/systems analysis, through requirements gathering and functional specification authoring, to development, testing and delivery. o Basic ability to troubleshoot issues and make system changes as needed to resolve issue. o Basic knowledge of computer hardware and software. Solid testing experience o Knowledge of Hardware in the loop technology and integration into system test Education/Experience: o Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or relevant field required. o 1-4 years experience required. Additional Role Details: o Test Engineer to support verification of new Energy Storage Systems at Caterpillar, previous experience with OPAL RT and electrification are beneficial skills Education & Experience Required: o Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or relevant field required. o 1-4 years experience required o NO 2 year degree accepted o Masters degree accepted but still have same experience requirement o Internships etc accepted as long as the meet some of the other requirements for HIL and verification experience Technical Skills (Required) o Verification and hardware in the loop experience (Desired) o Previous experience with OPAL RT and electrification are beneficial skills o Vector Canape or Canalyzer experience Soft Skills (Required) o Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills, teamwork (Desired) Keywords: Illinois Hiring - Embedded Software Engineer- Mossville, IL (Onsite) [email protected] |
