In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the optimal performance, security, and cost-effectiveness of our web presence through the configuration and management of Akamai services. Responsibilities: Akamai Configuration and Management (Highly Important): Configure and manage Akamai services including Content Delivery Network (CDN), Web Application Firewall (WAF), and DNS. Optimize Akamai settings for performance, security, and cost-effectiveness. Implement caching strategies and rules to improve website performance and reduce server load. Monitoring and Troubleshooting (Important): Monitor Akamai services for performance and availability using Akamai Control Center and other monitoring tools. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Akamai configurations and performance. Analyze logs and metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement. Security and Compliance (Important): Configure and manage Akamai's security features, including WAF, bot management, and DDoS protection. Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices for web security and data protection. Collaborate with the security team to implement and maintain security policies. Additional Skills (Desired): Ecommerce development background and understanding of microservices. Essential Skills: Experience (Highly Important): 6-8 years of experience in Akamai configurations development and management. Technical Skills (Highly Important): Strong understanding of Akamai services, including CDN, WAF, and DNS. Experience with performance optimization techniques for web applications. Familiarity with web development methodologies (e.g., HTTP, TCP/IP). Proficiency with monitoring and troubleshooting tools (e.g., Akamai Control Center). Experience with security best practices and industry standards (e.g., PCI-DSS, OWASP). Soft Skills (Highly Important): Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work effectively in an Agile environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
