The ideal candidate will have 6-8 years of experience in managing and supporting large PostgreSQL databases, troubleshooting performance issues, and performing migrations from Oracle to CloudSQL for PostgreSQL. (Contract) Role: - PostgreSQL Developer Location: Chicago, IL Client is TCS Technical/Functi006Fnal Skills Key Responsibilities: Perform query performance tuning for PostgreSQL databases. Work with development teams to troubleshoot and resolve performance-related issues. Manage and support PostgreSQL databases with over 10 TB of data, including backups, restores, monitoring, and performance tuning. Migrate databases from Oracle to CloudSQL for PostgreSQL. Perform data copy from on-premises environments to GCP CloudSQL. Configure CDC (Change Data Capture) for primary schemas as applicable. Demonstrate strong troubleshooting skills. Essential Skills: Expertise in PostgreSQL and query performance tuning. Experience with Oracle PL/SQL, including tables, views, procedures, functions, packages, indexes, triggers, and materialized views. Proven experience in data migration from Oracle on-premises to PostgreSQL on-premises or cloud. Desirable Skills: Experience with GCP cloud and Unix/Linux troubleshooting.
