| Hello Hadoop Scala Developer Location : NYC NY Onsite Duration : 6Months+ USC and H4ead only. 7+ years of professional experience in building applications in Spark/Scala (Functional Programming), Knowledge of basic Hadoop Framework, Apache Hive and other open Apache tools and technologies. 5+ years of experience in database access layer frameworks like Hadoop, Hive, Impala etc. 5+ years of experience in CI/CD tools and build tools like Gradle, IntelliJ and managing code repositories with Git. 3+ years of experience in developing reports and populating it in Actimize. 2+ years exposure to work in Unix/Linux environments. . Good hands-on experience with Jenkins and Autosys/ Control M is preferrable. Should also possess database skills (preferably Hadoop and Hive) to design new or alter existing table structures to satisfy specifications and requirements. 2+ years of experience working in test-drive development & continuous integration model. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Release Management and application support skills. Preferred qualifications Exposure to performance tuning of Apache Spark, Scala, Hadoop applications. Exposure to Behaviour Driven Development (Cucumber). Working experience with Agile methodologies would be useful.
