| Position: Middleware Programmer Rate: $50 per hour Location: Houston, Texas Schedule: Hybrid (only Wednesdays onsite each week but there is an expectation for employees to be more onsite throughout the duration of this project - Hybrid schedule is subject to change Type: 1 + Contract - Exp: Feb 2025 - fixed, no plan to extend or convert Interview Process - 1-2 rounds - depends on the candidate and needs Skills: IBM - 7-8 years of experience IBM ACE IBM MQ - or WebSphere Diagram tools - like Visio Must have skills: ESQL IBM ACE Preferred Skills: Java IBM ODM (operational decision manager) PowerBI Top 5 Skill sets Proven experience as an App Connect Enterprise (ACE) Developer Strong knowledge of IBM ACE/IIB development, including ESQL, Java, and integration patterns. Experience with web services (SOAP/REST), XML, JSON, and related technologies. Familiarity with various data formats and transformation techniques. Understanding of message-oriented middleware (MQ) and related technologies. Nice to have skills or certifications: ODM- Operation Decision Center TeamCity Harness AWS Cloud knowledge Job Description: Reviews, analyzes, and modifies programming systems including encoding, testing, debugging and documenting programs. May require a bachelor's degree. Requires 6-8 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. May lead and direct the work of others. May report directly to a project lead or manager. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
