Role: Lead Data Governance Location: Newyork City, NY Job Description MANDATE: Data Activate the data quality strategy and play book for the domain Lead with an Agile Approach, the remediation of identified Pain Points in collaboration with Data Stewards and Data Custodians Team: Governance Global Data Domain Program Manager or Lead DQL KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Quality monitoring and improvement: Work with Global Domain DQL to incorporate Global initiatives on data quality management Work with Global Domain DQL to define critical objects and attributes Work with the business to define acceptable data quality levels Implement domain KQIs to measure data quality within domain and monitor deviation from acceptable quality levels Own Data Quality Dashboard and related enhancements Monitor incidents and implement remediation actions with support from the Ops/SRE teams, data steward and custodian on the main gaps Support Data Product Owner with data onboarding and Analytics Product Owners with use case development on data quality issues Adoption: Ensure the respect of the product data group standards/policies Document & communicate the new best practices/standards Write new, policy-compliant processes where required Deliverables: Manage and prioritize the data quality initiatives and backlog for the Zone, create a roadmap Define and track key success metrics Create test scenarios and supervise data validation with testing team REQUIRED SKILLS Soft skills: Foster teamwork and mobilizes Data Stewards and Data Custodians on quality improvement actions Demonstrate adaptability and thrive in dynamic environments. Able to identify & propose new solutions (Problem solving oriented) Design and deliver training programs that equip business teams with the knowledge and tools to maintain high data quality standards Data-related technical Skills: Strong analytical skills Basic knowledge and understanding of data, data ingestion, data flow, proper data management and best practices A combination of data management and business knowledge to be able to translate the data quality needs into actionable remediation and prevention processes Working understanding of data quality dimensions and related best practices Domain Knowledge: Basic knowledge of sales data and/or handling of different data sets in previous roles such as finance, marketing Experience in retailer data management or external data sources is a plus Project management: Strong Agile project management and organizational skills Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment Tools & Programming: SQL PowerBI Experience Microsoft Excel functions and formulas Google Cloud Platform (GCP) BigQuery Data profiling tools e.g. Informatica, DataPlex Thanks and Regards, Priyanka Tyagi Associate Recruiter Technocraft Solutions LLC Email: [email protected] www.technocraftsol.com Keywords: information technology New York Lead Data Governance || Newyork City, NY [email protected] |
