Position: Observability Engineer Location: Remote Duration: 6+ Months Mode of Interview: Phone and Video Job Description: Focusing APM Dynatrace/dynadog and log aggregation with ELK More Datadog with areas of recent ELK (ideally 3-4 years, but would look at less if proficient) config, query, alert management Support application monitoring for .Net, Java, SaaS, AWS, and other application architectures based in the cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure) using Dynatrace Understand log analytics monitoring within Datadog and ELK Monitor the responsiveness and availability of critical websites and web applications from the end-user perspective Monitor infrastructure component for CPU, memory, disk space, and I/O Provide deep visibility into on-prem, cloud and hybrid applications performance Implement application monitoring, synthetic and real user monitoring solutions following best practices across the enterprise Additional requirements for the position: Understanding of log ingestion and alerting concepts 3-4 years Elastic Stack (ELK) experience (including configuration, query creation, alerting configuration) Understanding of Filebeat and Cribl deployments and configuration Develop and implement Python3 and BASH scripts to configure Elasticsearch indices, manipulate data, and perform complex search queries Create advanced KQL queries for visualizations and reports Design dynamic Kibana visualizations for analytics Set up cross-cluster search and streaming data pipelines Develop YAML configuration files for Elastic search and containerized platforms Design and implement ELK stack solutions and support Big Data platforms Develop rules and algorithms for data processing and correlations 4 or more years of experience in Information Systems performing application and infrastructure analysis Strong Experience with Datadog, ELK, and other industry standard log analytics platforms Working knowledge of application monitoring best practices Strong experience with multiple hardware and operating systems such as Unix, Linux, Windows, and/or VMware, EC2, ECS, Docker/Fargate Containers, and serverless functionality Keywords: Required Observability Engineer for Remote role -NO H1B [email protected] |
