Position: Sr. Android BSP Developer Location: Remote Duration: Long Term Rate is max: $50/hr (No negotiations). Dont share any resume without BSP AND Android/Linux Kernel experience The automation and control solutions for buildings and homes let people control entire environments with the push of a button, integrating systems such as A/V, lighting, shading, IT, security, BMS, and HVAC to provide greater comfort, convenience, and security. All the products are designed and built to work together as a cohesive system, enabling customers to monitor, manage, and operate everything from the cloud. Must have experience with: -Experience with developing Android framework services, Android Native applications (JNI / NDK), or system applications (C /Java). -Customizing Googles AOSP and debugging issues within it. -Android HAL (Hardware Abstraction Layer) development, Linux Device Tree. -Working with source control tools such as Git, Gerrit, and GitHub, and with Android command line tools such as ADB and fast boot. It will be a plus: -Experience in the following areas: BSP/Board Support Package, Android/Linux Kernel, Bootloader, Graphics, and Audio/Video Drivers. -Familiarity with the Android security model (SE Linux policy). -Embedded Linux device driver development and customization(including optimizations, bug fixing, and adding new functionality) -Excellent verbal and written communication skills. -Experience working collaboratively in cross-functional teams. -Must be persistent, possess strong problem-solving skills, and be willing to work with others to find solutions that avoid project stalls. -Must be responsible, self-motivated, creative, have a solid work ethic, and have the desire to produce a quality product Working Schedule: There are 2 engineers from the JSS side in this sub-team. One engineer is located in Ukraine (EEST time zone) working from 9:00 am to 6:30 pm EEST, very rarely he has to work until 9:00 pm EEST. Another one in Poland is working from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm CEST. They provide overlap with the client of about 4-5 hours. From the clients side, the TechLead manages the sub-team (EST time zone); Ideally, a candidate should start from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm(EEST time zone), but it depends on the location of the candidate. The main thing is that the new developer can synchronize with the JSS team (engineers from Ukraine and Poland) and have an overlap of 4-5 hours with the Tech Lead from the clients side.
