Job Title: Hardware and System Services Duration: 6-12 Months Experience Level: 4 to 10+ years Openings: 10+ Onsite for below Multiple Locations: Texas: Austin California: Folsom, Santa Clara Massachusetts: Hudson Oregon: Hillsboro & Jones Farm 1,2 Washinton: Ridgepointe Job Description: Building up and maintaining servers and/or client systems (Windows / Linux familiarity with Intel server platforms). Build out new deployment areas such as benches and racks, installing BIOS, firmware, drivers, and perform system debugging. Perform system integration of all platform components, QC of the assembled system, and deployment. Functionally test components for quality before they are used for deployment. Assembling platforms and systems, including racks, main units, cabling, boards, CPUs, cards, chassis, instrumentation, and handling materials, kitting, installing peripherals, flushing thermal heads, and movement to the deployment Lab. Install, configure, and maintain development tools, design software, and simulation environments used by HW engineers and SW developers. Independently debug on cards, boards, and systems. Solid knowledge of Windows, Linux Operating Systems, Network management, Application software. Good understanding on Intel CPU/x86 Architecture (preferred) or other modern CPUs System on Chips (SOCs). Excellent knowledge on tests, triages, and root cause issues which have setup issues, removal or redeployment of tests needing software and/or hardware upgrades, and/or performing electrical, mechanical, or software troubleshooting to establish problems in non-functioning lab equipment. Applying Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) on platforms to ensure they are up to date with the latest pedigree. Experience in Power & Performance with DAQ instruments configuration and testing. Monitors tests and quality assurance of equipment and performs equipment modifications as directed. Ensures test results are recorded accurately and in adherence to established quality practices. Performs preventive maintenance and good laboratory housekeeping, establishes, maintains, and conducts routine testing of benches, testers, and other equipment. Strong leadership skills with demonstrated ability to successfully lead a complex, cross-organization program. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
