Position: System Administrator (IBM WebSphere) Location: Jersey City, NJ (Onsite) Duration: Long term Contract Job Description: Role name: System Administrator Role Description: Responsible for enterprise wide WebSphere MQ messaging infrastructure across distributed platforms including UNIX (AIX and Linux), Windows, WebSphere MQ Administration (V8.x &above) on distributed platforms (AIX, Linux, and Windows)Required to troubleshoot on AIX, Linux and Windows systems, build and run scripts.Required to administer MQ using MQE and command line using MQSC commandsResponsible for the design and build of the Distributed Queue ManagementResponsible for the administration of Administer WebSphere Application Server(WAS) using ISC consoleResponsible for the administration and management of MQ ClustersResponsible for the administration and management of MQ Publish/SubscribeSetup security for WebSphere MQ queues& other objects for data access and for administration using role-based securityResponsible for software installations and patches to WebSphere MQ serversAble to work with MQ monitoring tools like Tivoli OmegamonRequired to work with application development teams providing support of middleware components.Define and maintain middleware standards and governance including MQ and API administration and utilization.Utilize industry standard technologies & methods to insure the integrity & recoverability of MQ based applications incl. but not limited to: backup & recovery, clustering, security, patch management, enterprise monitoring & performance tuning.Perform strategic analysis and design of MQ infrastructure and makes recommendations on improvements and/or new systems required to meet business needs and future capacity.Serve as technical resource to business analysts, solutions development and other groups responsible for application development standards, system design and integration.
