OR An equivalent combination of post-secondary education and/or job-related experience may substitute for the minimum qualifications on a year-for-year basis. Our Preferred Candidate has UX/UI Certification Scrum Certification Agile Certification Two years working in an IT-related field Experience working with multiple diverse businesses Knowledge of Printing Processes: Understanding various printing techniques, formats, and specifications to ensure quality output of print materials like brochures, flyers, posters, etc. ESSENTIAL JOB TASKS UI/UX Design for Websites and other products and Digital Media: Design and update the departments website and Internal software to ensure user-friendly navigation and visual appeal.Develop digital media assets including banners, icons, and images for online platforms. Update Digital Signage Designs: Design and update digital signage content and layouts for various departments within the organization. Ensure consistency in visual communication and branding across all digital signage materials. Data visualization, Financial Reports and Presentations Create visually appealing and easy-to-understand financial reports, presentations, and infographics. Translate complex financial data and trends into compelling visual narratives. Develop clear and informative data visualizations such as charts, graphs, and diagrams. Illustrate financial performance, budgets, and forecasts effectively. Create Printed Materials: Design printed materials such as brochures, flyers, posters, and newsletters. Ensure consistency in visual communication across all printed materials. Research and Innovation: Stay updated on design trends, tools, and technologies. Implement innovative design solutions to enhance visual communication effectiveness. Qualifications: * Attention to Detail: Precision in ensuring accuracy in design elements, dimensions, and specifications, particularly critical in print production. * Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) or equivalent tools for creating digital assets and print materials. * Understanding of user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) design principles, especially for digital platforms where usability and accessibility are crucial, complemented by proficiency in Figma for creating cohesive and user-friendly designs. * Ability to understand business metrics and translate company goals and objectives into digital experiences. * Ability to maintain brand consistency across both digital and print materials, adhering to brand guidelines and standards. * Communication Skills: Capable of collaborating with stakeholders, understanding their requirements, and effectively translating them into design solutions for both digital and print contexts. * Problem-solving skills to determine solutions to user interface challenges. * Multi-tasking and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks Analytical mind with business acumen, Ability to work both independently and in a team Strong portfolio showcasing creative and effective visual design solutions. Bullets to clarify: * They will primarily work on more visual things so the UI/UX lead can focus on the rest of the project * They will also work on the project and help with website and some internal accounting reports/forms * The main design is completed, but some work will be needed to make it ready * Website and internal software design and UI experience is needed, but also graphic design * There will be a lot of projects like brochures, annual reports, digital signage, etc. * Key experience * Work as an assistant for the UI/UX lead * Mid-junior level visual designer (web and print) * 2 - 3 years' experience * Don't want someone who is over-qualified * Need a helper vs. another designer * Portfolio * The UI/UX lead wants to review the portfolio of the candidate along with their resume prior to scheduling an interview. This will help her determine if they have the skill level she wants for the visual design. * It is all about the visual design * They need more of an artist designer.
