Job Description:

PLM Technical Lead (JD from manager, my notes are below)

Experienced Teamcenter/NX Technical Team Lead with Seimens Teamcenter and NX product knowledge. Experience with Sharepoint, Jira, Perl/Shell scripting, Git, Linux, Windows, MS Office Tools and ServiceNow. Strong analytical problem-solving skills, testing skills and communication skills. Ability to work closely with Engineering customers, understand business needs, help drive the resolution of issues and manage risk, propose process improvements, provide front-line support for severity issues. Communicate scheduled outages to help desk and end customers. Create business reports to track progress and SLAs. Monitor performance metrics. Monitor tickets and resolution. Lead a daily scrum meeting with the Teamcenter developers working bug fixes and enhancements. Lead yearly upgrade projects for Teamcenter and NX. Assist with monthly Teamcenter build reconciliations and release plans. Familiar with Teamcenter ITK and NXOpen custom development, Teamcenter Unified Architecture, NXManager, Structure Manager, Configuration manager, Workflow management, Active Workspace, Teamcenter SOA (Service Oriented Architecture), BMIDE administration, PSE, workflow management, 2Tier, 4Tier, Web client, Java and C++.

Notes from call

We have PLM support contract, and it supports Team Center and NX (CAD tool) these are siemens products.

Candidate needs to Lead of 6 Team Center developers 2-3 NX developers/Team Center admins and a NX admin that are supporting the contract.

This lead person is not a PM someone who is a technical lead.

Someone that understands problems that people are solving and help guide them.

On Team Center side there are lots of customization and they support all custom code same on NX side.

On Team Center side responsible for bugs and enhancement requests that come along.

GIT must understand Jira

From the development side helping users with issues. Some development experience would be good. No development but some scripting to manipulate date.

SharePoint and Jiri are the systems they track to confirm everything is being done.

This person would run 15 min scrum meeting with developers.

Also responsible for overseeing upgrades they do. They do NX upgrade

Have a lot of infrastructure issues that come up and ticket will come up and will have to know where to send ticket. Technical lead would be involved with this and share resolutions.

Wont be doing any programming

Interfacing with client and issues as they come up.

Need to get the right person. Going to be learning a lot about the environment and how customer uses applications. A lot will be invested to get person up to speed.
