Client: Enterprise Title: Application Performance, Dynatrace SaaS 1040 Location: Remote Duration: 12 Months Rate: $60-$62/hr C2C Visa: USC, GC MOI: Skype Need We are seeking an Application Performance Engineer, not a Dynatrace administrator. Each candidate interviewed so far has been weak in performance review and making recommendations. They were good with features of Dynatrace, but none could speak to production issues and root cause fix suggestions. We need a candidate that can help identify issues, analyze or interpret data and make recommendations in order to help application development teams optimize application performance and determine root cause. As an Engineer 2 in Application Performance, you will be responsible for using your technical knowledge of professional concepts to solve business problems. We are looking for a talented individual that can serve as a subject matter expert in their area of focus and represent their department on complex assignments. You will be responsible for evaluating elements of technology's effectiveness through requirements gathering, testing, research and investigation and make recommendations for improvements that result in increased quality and effectiveness. You will be required to listen to and evaluate customer needs to determine and provide high quality solutions that align with customer expectations. As an Engineer 2 in Application Performance, you will be responsible for collaborating with management, site reliability engineers, cloud and platform teams, application developers, and product owners to identify end-user requirements and specifications for application performance monitoring. The Event Management, Logging, Monitoring, and Alerting (ELMA) team partners to drive business values through in-depth insights into the health and performance of EHI solutions and products. The position will help provide application performance monitoring throughout the IT organization. Responsibilities: Implementation and Configuration: responsible for implementing and configuring Dynatraces Application Performance Monitoring (APM) solution across various environments. This includes setting up dashboards, alerts, and reports to monitor application performance Performance Analysis: analyze application performance data collected by Dynatrace to identify potential issues and areas for improvement. This includes working closely with development teams to optimize application performance Troubleshooting: use Dynatrace tools to troubleshoot and resolve application performance issues. This may involve working with other IT teams to coordinate issue resolution Continuous Improvement: continuously evaluate the effectiveness of the Dynatrace implementation and make recommendations for improvements CI/CD Pipeline: assist the team in taking ownership of and automating our CI/CD pipeline where possible Qualifications: Required: 3+ years of related experience with Dynatrace (developing custom dashboards, alerts, and reports; working with Dynatrace APM tools, etc.) Must have strong understanding of application performance management concepts, with at least 2 years of Application Performance experience with Dynatrace SaaS Must be able to analyze application performance data collected by Dynatrace to identify potential issues Must have strong knowledge of Dynatrace tools to troubleshoot and resolve application performance issues Must be able to identify application performance improvement opportunities and create corresponding monitoring and alerts Proven ability to extrapolate data out of application monitoring tools and present to non-technical resources, including leadership Must be able to manage/modify user permissions via management zones Must be able to measure, analyze, and report license consumption of new and existing configurations Must be highly collaborative and an excellent communicator, both written and verbally Ability to participate in an on-call rotation Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task Must be willing and able to quickly learn new tools, technologies, and platforms as required Must be proficient with Microsoft Office software products Preferred: Dynatrace certification Dynatrace Runtime Application Protection experience, configuring SRGs and GRAIL Cloud-based tooling, scripting, and monitoring Familiarity with application-build tooling and development practices in general Java software development Experience with the use of version control systems for code management (Git is a plus) Experience with code scanning and vulnerability analysis Experience working with AWS CI/CD pipeline tooling and applications Working knowledge of Unit testing Knowledge and experience with the Atlassian Suite or other DevOps application suites Experience with application Profiling Skills (Core Java, Thread Dumps, etc Experience with Middleware technologies (Tomcat, Weblogic, and Adobe AEM) Need We are seeking an Application Performance Engineer, not a Dynatrace administrator.
