Visa: USC/GC only Interview Process: Video Interview Reason for Opening: Data Integration project MUST HAVES: Strong Java skills Spring Framework experience (Grails is a must have) Data API or Data Integration experience CI/CD exposure Needs to be able to communicate well with stakeholders and possibly clients Description: Our Data Integration Squad is dedicated to Proagricas highest value client and its primary responsibility is to ensure that their data have been migrated efficiently and correctly to Proagricas agX Data platform. The associated pipelines will continue operating for the foreseeable future, keeping legacy and new systems in-sync. The basis of said data pipelines has already been established, with additional work required to turn the rig into a production system. //Work includes stabilisation, bug fixes, maintenance etc. Who you are You have significant experience (5+ years) in a hands-on development capacity, as well as 3+ years in a leadership position. You are an expert Java Developer with experience in Spring Framework (and ideally Grails) [MUST] You have deep understanding of Data APIs and have worked on data integration projects involving large volume legacy data estates. [MUST] You have experience of building and maintaining CI/CD Pipelines (ideally Gitlab based) You have worked in client-facing projects, communicating frequently with senior client stakeholders. [MUST] You possess a deep understanding of Agile principles, alongside a passion for championing said principles within the squad. Any experience in the GIS or Ag Tech domain would be hugely beneficial. What the job involves You will be performing hands-on development, whilst setting and enforcing best practices and improving code quality of existing components including the creation of unit tests, code reviews etc. You will be acting as an expert on design/architectural/infosec matters including the review of existing solutions as well as proposals for improvements. You will have the gravitas and confidence to rationalise (and push back when necessary) on any proposals and demands. You will actively participate in meetings with our key client, as well as confidently handling any type of communications with said client. You will be taking on troubleshooting for tricky issues, such as memory leaks and logical problems. You will be authoring and maintaining technical documentation. You will be assisting in the facilitation of our Agile processes, including JIRA maintenance, input into backlog prioritisation etc. You will be working with a team that is split between the UK and the US.
