| From: Ravina, Vyze Inc [email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Job Description - Position: Sr Database Cloud Engineer Duration: 12+ month on PV W2 contract Location: Merrimack, NH | Must be onsite 1 week (5 consecutive days) per month | No relocation or long-distance commute Visa: USC or Green Card ONLY Must Haves: o Database Developer/Engineer, not Administrator o At least 8 years of experience working in a large database hybrid environment that includes both on-prem and public cloud resources o Proven expertise and hands on-experience with deploying and managing relational databases such as Oracle, MS SQL, PostgreSQL, or Sybase (any of those databases is fine) o Cloud experience: AWS or Azure Notes o They will be working on the Database Virtualization team in CAPE. o They will need to have had this experience deploying and managing databases in the cloud. 80% of their environment is on Cloud. They will be working on both AWS and Azure, but they will take either or. Not a deal breaker if someone is good in AWS, and light on Azure, and vice versa. o Nice to have skillset is Delphix or any exp with Cockroach or Yugabyte. That is rare though so not required. The Expertise and Skills You Bring At least 8 years of experience working in a large database hybrid environment that includes both on-prem and public cloud resources Proven expertise and hands on-experience with deploying and managing relational databases such as Oracle, MS SQL, PostgreSQL, or Sybase Expertise and experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment tools such as GitHub, Artifactory and Jenkins. Think innovatively and have the ability to automate various administrative tasks using the Python, Groovy, Jenkins, Java , and/or shell scripting skills. Ability to evaluate and propose best-of-breed tools and engineering best-practices. Experience with configuring alerts and monitors to create a highly available platform Experience with on-call support, resolving incidents and release management practices. Strong communication and influencing skills Nice to Have Skills Hands-on experience in Delphix /Oracle ZFS database virtualization is a plus. Working experience in masking of PII data is a plus.
