Looking for an enthusiastic Senior Backend Engineer to join their fully remote team and enhance their assessment platform, focusing on improving usability and accessibility for older adults. The primary responsibility will involve developing the backend using Python. The engineering team is small, so the ideal candidate should be ready to take charge, significantly impacting from day one. This role involves collaborating with developers and stakeholders to develop and sustain the platform. This engineer will have ownership of the backend, with the freedom to make technical decisions and delegate tasks. This start-up operates fully remotely, requiring team members to be adaptable, multitask effectively, and maintain availability via Slack and Zoom. Occasional collaboration will take place in person at a workspace in Hyde Park, IL. While flexibility is crucial, they prioritize a healthy work-life balance.
